Return policies

Original art, and open edition and limited edition prints (fine art prints)
All sales of fine art prints are final. Order cancellations, exchanges and refunds are not accepted. All fine art prints are made to order and are unique. We do not accept returns.

The colours on your monitor 
While we strive to provide art buyers and collectors with descriptions and images that accurately depict the artwork we feature on our website, the colours displayed on your screen may vary significantly from the actual product. We recommend that you view products on multiple screens if colour variations matter a lot to you.

Custom, special orders, and sale items
All custom, special order and sale items are final sales. We do not offer refunds nor exchanges.

Greeting cards and bookmarks - EXCHANGE ONLY
Greeting cards and bookmarks may be returned for exchange only within seven (7) calendar days of delivery, provided they are returned in their original, unopened packaging and are unused, unsoiled and in perfect condition. 

Only full-price items are eligible for exchange. All items purchased during promotions or at a promotional price are final sales and cannot be exchanged. This applies to items purchased during seasonal holidays such as Christmas and New Year, and during all other promotion periods; items purchased at a 10% rebate in the first order after subscription to the newsletter; and items purchased as part of a monthly, quarterly or annual product subscription. 

We reserve the right to refuse to exchange an item that is unsellable or is not in pristine condition. Personalized or custom items are final sales.

To exchange a product, you must first request authorization from our team [add link]: 

  • Please contact us within 48 hours of the receipt of your order to initiate an exchange. Proof of purchase is required. 


Cost of return shipping
Please note that the cost of return shipping for an exchange is the responsibility of the buyer.

Purchase made at retailer merchants
Some of our greeting cards and bookmarks are conveniently available at select retailers in Ottawa, Ontario, and Gatineau, Quebec. Items purchased from one of our retailers must be returned to that location and are subject to the retailer’s return policy. Please check with the retailer at the time of purchase.

Returns for products damaged in transit or defective products
We package all of our products with care and attention, so it is rare that items become damaged or unusable during shipping. Should a problem arise, [add link] please contact us within 48 hours of delivery to be eligible for a replacement. We’ll handle the insurance claim, but we may need photographs of the damage incurred and, in some cases, the damaged package itself.

We reserve the right to refuse to accept or to exchange any item that is not in sellable condition.

To return an item that was damaged in transit or is defective, you must first request authorization from our team:

  1. Within 48 hours of delivery, email us at this link with your name, complete mailing address and phone number, invoice number and product name, and photographs of the damaged item and the reason for requesting a replacement.
  2. Once you receive our response, you must return the item within 15 days of having received it. 
  3. The item must be returned unused, unsoiled and in its original packaging.
  4. The delivery cost for the return is at your expense. 

Once we receive and inspect your returned item, we will notify you by email. We will only exchange items that have been damaged in transit or are defective. Items are exchanged for identical items.

Tracking of returned items
If your shipment is valued at more than $100, we recommend that you use a shipping service that allows tracking and that you purchase shipping insurance. We cannot guarantee that we will receive your parcel, as it may get lost in transit. All goods remain your responsibility until we receive them. We cannot be held responsible for any returned products that are lost or damaged in transit. 

Depending on where you’re located, the time it takes for the exchanged item to reach you may vary.
